trying to set up a brake pedal load sensor PCB# 1203-01A, with the PCB# 8162 bridge amp.

The load cell works fine on the bench with a 12vdc supply, and reading the output with a mulitmeter.
ie squeeze the load cell, the volts goes up on the multimeter... easy.

I plug it into an analoge CH of a DL1, and i get nothing.

Thoughts?

Bridge amp info:

12-28vdc powered
deliever +/-5vdc OR +/-10vdc
and 4mA to 20mA output
bridge excitation set to 5vdc for 120ohm bridge

Like I said it works fine on the bench. Not with a DL1

Are you getting 0v on the DL1 or are you seeing nothing at all? Make sure that the unit is configured to be logging the data and/or transmitting it on the serial port if you are monitoring it on a PC.

the range of the load cell is 500lbs @ +/-10vdc.

when i stand on the load cell mulit meter it is saying 4.985vdc.. (im around 250lbs, stands to reason)

i connect DL1 in parallel to meter, meter reads same, log data, load into analysis, analaysis shows 0 to .05mV, assume it should show same as meter ie roughly 5v.

disconnect meter, log again, same 0 to .05mV

im guessing that .05mV is more likely just noise... so i guess it is probably reading 0v

Are you sure your config on the DL1 is correct?
