How to set up additional Sensors connected to analouge inputs?

Hi at all,
after several days and countless attempts to set up an external sensor for measuring the steering angle, i´m looking for some helpful tips.
Hope you can help me, solving my small problem.
First of all, I´m using the following Hardware:
Logger:
DL1 Club Data Logger
Sensor:
rotary sensor -180deg to 180deg (linar output signal)
supply voltage: 5V (connected to DL1, 5V Output)
signal: 0.25V to 4.75V (connected to DL1, analouge input 1)
GND (connected to DL1, GND)
Within the DL1 Configuration Software I used the following setup for this sensor.
input: 01
input Equation: Y=80*X-200 Unit: deg (0.25V=-180deg ; 2.50V=0deg ; 4.75V=180deg)
map channel to: Analog 1
Within the Live Monitor I add an angular gauge, to display the values from input 1. (min. Value -180 ; max. Value 180; Variable = analog 1)
Actually I just can display values from 0 to a maximium of 65.300.
This should be ok, cause like written in the online wiki, the channel is limitted to a range from 0 to 65.535.
But how can I calculate the measured voltage signal into the value for the steering angle?
I had thought, this happens by the input equation.
Would be great if you have some tips for setting up my device.
Kind regards
Daniel
