I'd also like to see the full VDO temp+press tables if someone would email them to me...

thanks!

Anyone have the autometer stuff?

Can anyone detail how they set this up? I guess with voltage dividers?

Best thing to do.
Is take the sensor out.

Connect to a foot pump. and connect a meter to the Sensor.
And take a reading at 0,1,2,3,4 and 5 bar.

Use Potential Divider Calculator http://www.electronics2000.co.uk/calc/calcdiv.htm

once you have the 6 voltages and Pressures you can enter these into the RT software.

One more try...

If anyone still has the information for the 2 bar and 5 bar VDO sensors, would you please post it here as Gary did for the 10 bar or email to me bubbamatt at gmail dot com ?

thanks!

Hi Everyone,

I'm getting quite a few support questions relating to connecting the VDO sensors to our products... so I'm going to put up a wiki page o the site about them and how to set them up. If there is any calibration information available then please forward it to me at andrew at race-technology dot com and I'll make sure that it gets included!

Kind regards,

Andy

I've used the calculator above, with the figures posted for the 10bar vdo sensor, converted to PSI and this is what I get:

volts psi
4.964 0
4.911 7.35
4.863 14.7
4.813 22.05
4.766 29.4
4.681 44.1
4.599 58.8
4.528 73.5
4.46 88.2
4.397 102.9
4.336 117.6
4.31 124.95
4.284 132.3
4.233 147

does this look right to you?

Jim

I've got totally different figures!

I've also got the VDO figres for the 5 Bar sensor and for the 150 degree temperature sensor - I'll post them up here when I get a chance and sort out my user account!

Jim

I'm using a 980 ohm pull-up resisitor but our figures shouldn't be hugely different!

Here are my figures

R2 (Sensor) Bar Vout
7.2 - 0 - 0.036
18.2 - 0.5 - 0.091
28.2 - 1 - 0.140
39.2 - 1.5 - 0.192
49.2 - 2 - 0.239
68.2 - 3 - 0.325
87.2 - 4 - 0.409
104.2 - 5 - 0.481
121.2 - 6 - 0.550
137.2 - 7 - 0.614
153.2 - 8 - 0.676
167.2 - 9 - 0.729
181.2 - 10 - 0.780
