VDO oil pressure sender with DL1/Dash2

I think I'm getting there on the temp sender, fuel and Lambda sensor equations, but am a bit lost coming up with something for the VDO electrical 0 - 5 bar sender.

Just wanted to check I wasn't trying to reinvent the wheel; has anybody already come up with a working equation for this unit?

Thanks in advance.

Could you share your found information on the temperature sensors? I'm currently trying to find out about the pressure sensor also, will share if I find something.

I managed to track down some fuel, temperature and pressure versus resistance charts for VDO sensors; if you pm me your email address I'll forward you copies.

However, in the end, as my existing VDO instrument set will sell more easily with the senders included, I've replaced them anyway.

Hi Dave,

I'm interested in the charts! Unfortunatly pm's are disabled on this board. Can you mail them to me at:

Thanks!

Hey guys.
Can one of you send them accross to me as well? it would be very apreciated, thanks.

I know i am pushing my luck, but would anyone have the equations for the 10BAR VDO sensor? we currently have both 5 and 10 BAR sensors but our engine has 5 BAR pressure at 6000 rpm.

If no one has the equations for the 10 BAR sensor, would anyoen mind telling me how we can go about calibrating our one?

Thank you very much in advance.

Not that I would ever recommend running a non-RT sourced sensor :wink: , but there is a nice feature built into the latest VOB, DASH1 and DASH1 configuration utilities that allows you to enter values from a table and it will then generate the equation.

i just got VDO to send me the 0-10 Bar pressure sender table. the file also had other pressure and temp sensors. If anyone is after these tables just let me know.
Just out of curiousity, is the manufacturer tables/equations enough? or do all sensors have to be recalibrated once we get them?

Zabros2020,

As I'm using VDO sensors as well I would very much appreciate if you could pass the information to me.

My email: BRITISH (underscore) SPORTS (underscore) Cars at t-online dot de

Please omit the spaces and replace "(underscore)" by "_" and "dot" by "."

Thanks in advance!

Just got the data from the local VDO rep. It is for the 0 - 10 bar oil pressure sensor.

Bar Resistance
0 = 7.2
0.5 = 18.2
1 = 28.2
1.5 = 39.2
2 = 49.2
3 = 68.2
4 = 87.2
5 = 104.2
6 = 121.2
7 = 137.2
8 = 153.2
8.5 = 160.2
9 = 167.2
10 = 181.2
