GPS Frequency for Serial Output

Postby bcohen5055 » Wed Jul 19, 2017 5:01 pm

Hi, I have a DL1 MK2 with bootloader v6 and firmware v39. I'm planning to use the GPS serial output with Solostorm and I'm contemplating upgrading the DL1 to the 20Hz GPS option. If I upgrade will this increase the GPS frequency on the serial output or only on the logged values stored to the CF card? I only will be passing a few additional channels on the serial so I don't think baud rate will be a limitation.

Thanks,
-Ben

So I reviewed the documentation for solostorm and read that it uses the gps position data, not the raw gps data from the serial port. Can you confirm what the sample rate of this data is over serial? Is it possible to get 20Hz?

Thanks,
-Ben
