Thought i'd post this on here as I have just done it on another forum and I think it may be useful info if you don't know it already.

I have had a couple of occasions where the 2 wires that go into the DL1 power connector have shorted out. As you move them around (which I do lots) they can loosen from the connector sockets and fray (see pic below). As they are NEXT TO EACH OTHER they can easily short out.

So, to avoid this possibility you can MOVE the GROUND (-ve) connector to socket 8 in the block and it does the same job (count 8 from the live socket, or 5 from the opposite end).

Here is what it looks like :-

Nice tip! Have you looked at the board traces? Direct connection?

Do you mean circuit board? and if they (both connections) do the same job?

I haven't but had a loan unit from RT with this connection so tried it myself and all seems to work as expected. No sensors connected though so I suppose I can't be 100% sure. Maybe RT will comment?

This will work, but that ground input is not designed for high currents.
