Speed not regitering

Postby Gazt00 » Thu Aug 08, 2019 6:58 pm

I have a problem with a dash 2, it's not displaying any speed, im using a honeywell hall effect sensor that I bought from efi part and wired it up as per their website, I have an m6 nut I have welded to the fixed part of the split drive shaft as target for the sensor, I have entered the tyre size via the software and I'm not getting any reaction from the dash, does anyone have a suggestions as the why it's not working? Thanks in advance, Gary

If you have a multimeter I would check the output from the sensor with a voltmeter to ensure that the trigger output is changing state.

Hi, I scoped the output last night and it appears I'm not getting a pulse on the output, does it need a pull-up resistor?

There is no pull up resistor built in to the DASH2, so if you sensor does not drive the output high you will need a pullup resistor.
