dash2pro

Postby blentz2 » Sat Oct 18, 2014 7:29 pm

thinking about upgrading to this unit, but worried about it being new and buggy. Who is running these in a purpose built race car and how well is it working out? any ECU interface issues (non-CAN)? any failures of memory cards, etc? frankly, any failures at all?

to the RT team: if the data logger stops working (like if the memory fails), will the dash still display the data? does the display use the same processor as the logger or are they independent paths inside the unit? How many have you sold so far?

thanks.

Hi there,

It is great to hear that you are thinking of upgrading to our DASH2 PRO.

The unit has been available to purchase for almost two years now. The unit has received very rigorous testing and regular firmware updates to filter out bugs and improve overall performance in this time. Serial ECU interfaces run as smooth on this unit as any other product we have for sale with again more optimizations coming from regular firmware updates.

The unit optmizes built in memory as opposed to memory cards found in our other logging products, this ensures a much more robust memory system. We also provide the Device Explorer software as part of our software package to download and upload various files to the unit.

If the unit is not logging or the logging fails the data will still continue to display on the dash. The unit is designed as a full road legal solution so this is obviously of paramount importance.

We have sold around 400 units so far.

Kind Regards,
RT Support (SK)
