Hi,

I've got this really strange problem with the video recordings. One's in a while, and only on track, the recordings of a session are 2 times as fast. All the data on screen is still correct, speed, laptimes, etc. Most of the time the recordingspeed of a session is correct allthough sometimes(again) it looks like in the beginning of a session it starts fast and then settles down(it's really a fraction of a second). Anybody seen this before?
My set up is Video4(4 camera), Dl1(with OBDII and 2 analog inputs) and dash3.
Resume: Videospeed 2X, only on track, aprox. one's in 5 sessions.

Dave

Hi dave
I have had this problem a few times as well. I have managed to get to the bottom of the problem although I don't know how to fix it, if at all. I get it if i use a .map file of the circuit and a trackmap in my DEFAULT overlay that is configured to show the satellite view background. The video then runs at 2x speed. If you try it again with the satellite option deselected, I think you will find the video will run at realtime speed. You may need to remove the .map file too but I dion't think this is as important. If I want the satellite background, I use the video export option in analysis with another overlay file containing the satellite enabled trackmap and sleecting the appropriate .map file.

Thanks, I'm indeed using the sattelite map option just as a nice to have. I'll change the settings and see what happens next trackday.

Hey guys!

I had this problem as well, starting back in February 2011 with my new Video4 unit after I started using the widescreen vgl file.

Emails and phone calls to the guys in the UK failed to resolve it. The unit eventually died in service and was sent back to the UK and repaired, upgraded to GPS+ ADC + back pack battery and tested. RT sent the unit back, and then in February '12 after about six hours of testing it started corrupting videos again! I was devastated!

I sent the unit back to the UK with all cards and Andy put my unit on the test bench for about a week trying to identify a pattern to identify the root cause of the corrupt data... something I previously spent weeks on.

He identified that the issue appeared to occur with "fast compact flash cards", he updated the firmware and it was tested with my 128GB Sandisk Extreme Pro flashcard (it worked) and was sent back to me about three months ago.

Of all the testing I did I never thought to insert a card without a .MAP file!

Another issue is the map file generator not including all map tiles from the inputted long and let extents, it never exceeds 3MB in size irrespective of the map area (half of Australia too big? Wink ).

Anyway, I'm sending the Video4 unit off to the Australian outback this Wednesday and will report back with success or failure late next week. Fingers crossed.
