Reflash

I have reflashed my dash 2,is it neccessary to reflash DL1 as well? it doesn`t seem to be responding.

Hello,

I recommend updatig the DL1 if you have just updated the DASH2 to ensure compatibility.

is there any way to reset dl1,if not i feel it might be stuffed as it does not do anything at the moment. I have checked power supply etc. It is fairly old, it may need replacing. does this sound right?

If power is going in and no lights are on then it is something more serious then software. The power LED is directly connected to the 5v.

Check inside the CF socket making sure the pins are not bent and touching.

Contact service@race-t... if you want to return it for repair.

hi, I have borrowed a friends Dl1, I cannot seem to reflash it, but i am off to the racetrack in the morning for weekend (i am in Australia), my dash 2 will not respond to dl1. Is it possible for you to email me an older firmware for dash2. only to get my dash to work this weekend ( i have no tacho or shift lights)I will figure the upgrade out after the weekend.

It sounds like your DASH is locked to your DL1. (Package deal units are locked together) If you hold down the down button when switching on if it tells you a number as well as the firmware version then it is locked. Unfortunetly there is no way to unlock the DASH.
