|
|
Hi!
I've got the following problem:
In the support area of the Race Technology Homepage there are two pdf files that describe the format of the serial data output. They are linked but unfortunately I cannot download them because you need an account. Where can I get this password account from?
Does anybody have the pdf files I need? Would be great to send them to me or give me the link....
Best regards and thank you,
Patrick |

Patrick:
Fixing that is on the website to do list. Meanwhile, I've sent you an email with the document attached.

Thank you very much!
I'm already decripting the information contained in the data sheet...
Best regards

I would also like the pdfs please! mark@aufflick.com
I'm interested in the streamed data output for making a custom display and also the input for custom sensors.
Thanks. |

Could you please email the format of the data stream to me too. I've looked on the knowledge base and can't find it at all.
Many thanks

Just searched again and yes, I have now found it. Sorry!
Looking through the info, the data appears to be in the format
[channel] [data1] ... [data n] [checksum]
I'm happy I understand that but I have two questions:
1. how do I know where in the data stream the [channel] byte starts? Is there a separator between each "message", whereby say if I looked for a separator character, then I knew the next byte is a [channel] id?
2. what messages are output on the serial port? Does it cycle through message 2, then message 3, then message 4 etc, or is there some other order?
I'm trying to work out how easy it would be to dust off my C programming which I haven't done for over 15 years to build a display which shows estmated fuel usage per lap, and estimated fuel level in the tank at the end of a race / stint.
Many thanks in advance for any help.

Hey all, I started looking through some .run files, armed with some programs I wrote and the data sheet. If anyone (still there Zub?) would like to collaborate, or perhaps just want to know what I've learned, feel free to PM me.
