|
|
Hi RT users, has anyone had this before. I have been using the system OK for this season, but over the last few meetings I have only been getting a straight line North south, meaningless plot of supposedly where I have driven.
When I first purchased I did this test and it worked. So today have taken the DL1 out of the race car & put in the road car with no other external sensors, just the GPS unit on the roof. Reformated the the CF, loaded to correct SETUP.BIN file and have tried again to get but only get lat and long accel logged - nothing else.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Read somewhere about time to lock on satelites, so I left it running and loggin got 20 mins. No GPS lock comes on ( apart form resumably a system check for a couple of seconds on power up).
should this light come on?
thanks

The GPS lock light should be flashing.
Can you send me the data set where this is happening please so I can have a closer look. gummi(at)race-tech....com _________________ ---------------------------------------------

For the benefit of anyone else getting this problem - it was the GPS antenna. A new one from coolcomponents for £7.99 fixed the problem.

Yes Turby, that works fine. But as an update it didnt totally cure the problem, I had to send my DL1 back to RT and they diagnosed a faulty internal GPS circuit and replaced it under warranty.
