New "one box" solution

hello all,

I have been researching data acquisition systems for about 6 months.

I have narrowed down 3 systems.

DL-1
racekeeper
video vbox lite

As I understand it, Race-Technology is coming out with a one-box solution for data and video....there was an announcement at PRI, but there is no info on the website.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

I am looking to integrate video within the data analysis program.

We are formally releasing it at this years autosport show and will be taking orders. We had the first 50 system delivered to the office yesterday, and we will be sending out a newsletter anyday about it. I assume that when this happens the new web pages will also appear.

In the meantime if you email Lorne (lorne@race-tec.....com) he can email you details directly, and discuss the specification and price etc.

Is this new "one box" solution the same as the Video4 enhancement options announced yesterday in your newsletter? This really sounds good but there are no detailled information yet available on your homepage.

I'm wondering if they can be added to a one-year old Video4 system.

I got the letter on Jan 9th.

Summary:
5hz GPS with 2g accelerometers
4 analog and 1 RPM input
20 Hz GPS option
6 G accelerometer option
Battery backup

I guess these are all purchased options above a standard unit for use with a DL1/2

I wonder if it allows for serial data logging from an ECU or OBD pickup? Then you can use the 4 analogs for driver input and the ECU serial data for engine monitoring.

Website data is a bit limited on this product.
But two questions:
1) Is a tachometer input one of the four analog inputs?
2) Can the same "Main Analysis Software" as used with the DL1 be used with data collected from the Video 4 "One box" solution?
