|
|
During initial configuration, I chose to feed lat and long to one of the DASH 2 screes ("X" and "Y" in the configurables.) Once the system was configured and the GPS light on the DL1 showing that it was locked, altitude was correct but lat and long were way way off.
Displays:
X = 88.77
Y = -165.56
Should be:
X = 33.xx
Y = 117.xx
Because the readings weren't drifting it seemed like they were happy with where they were. Is this a case of needing to wait longer for more satellites to be located? I know that I don't live next to the North Pole... |

I'll take a look at this when I next review the firmware, my suspicion is that it just isn't displaying it correctly. TBH it isn't very useful to show this, you can only see up to 5 digits on the screen which could mean as little as 1/100th degree of resolution, so about 1km.
If you want to see when you have a GPS signal you are better off looking at GPS position or velocity accuracy.
