At Race Technology we've tested many different brands and types of GPS antenna over the years. Based on this experience, we stock 5 types of GPS antenna, that we believe should cover all of our customer's needs.

All 5 antennas are magnetic mounting, patch type antennas, since these are the best type to use for the automotive application where they can simply be placed on the top of the roof.

Our standard antenna should give excellent performance for over 95% of customers needs, and is shipped as standard on all of our products except RTK and INS SPEEDBOX. It is an excellent antenna, at a very competitive price point.

We also stock an RF-interference rejecting antenna. At some locations, RF interference has been found to be a problem, causing loss-of-lock of the GPS signal from the standard antennas. This typically occurs at professional motorsport events, where outside broadcast vans, and telemetry from other devices, creates an extremely noisy RF environment. In these situations, we have found that our RF-interference rejecting antenna will retain lock where the standard antenna cannot. However, this comes at the price of slightly increased noise on the data, so this antenna should only be selected where an RF interference problem is either suspected or been identified.

The unique characteristic of the motorcycle antenna is its ability to receive signals from "below horizontal" thus retaining the best satellite reception at high lean angles.  Normal GPS antennas deliberately attenuate signals from approximately horizontal and below, to reduce noise from ground reflected signals.  This is best for normal vehicles but not motorcycles when leaned.

The high precision compact antenna and ultra high performance antennas are two of the best antennas available. These two new antennas bring the latest dual feed, interference rejecting, high gain technologies in two different sizes: a compact 57mm diameter package, and a larger 130.4mm diameter antenna with integrated ground plane.

The high precision compact antenna is supplied standard with SPEEDBOX RTK.
