VIDEO4 Microphone

In-car audio, and especially audio from race cars can be a very difficult environment for audio recording, and we strongly recommend that you use the Race Technology microphone for best results. When developing the microphone we did extensive testing and optimised the automatic gain control and frequency response to get the best results. Though it is possible to use a standard microphone (using our adapter cables) you will probably find that results in a quiet home or office environment are good, but in car results disappointing due to the background noise.

The microphone has both high and low gain options, which can be selected using the attached switch. It is supplied complete with a VIDEO4 specific connector on 1.5m of cable. A mounting hole is provided for screwing the mic securely in place. The mic body is covered with a soft neoprene sponge to help prevent knocking from vibrations affecting the sound quality.
