RF-interference rejecting GPS antenna
On several occasions we have found that the otherwise excellent standard GPS antenna we stock can have trouble obtaining a GPS lock in very RF-noisy environments, such as at professional race meetings where outside broadcast vans, telemetry equipment used by racing teams to communicate with the vehicles and many other strong RF sources can mask the weak GPS signal. On these occasions we have solved the problem by supplying this RF-interference rejecting GPS antenna, which can retain lock even in extremely noisy environments. The antenna is slightly more noisy than the standard antenna in normal circumstances, so should only be purchased if an RF interference problem is either known or suspected. The connector is an SMA type, and it requires a 2.7v-5.0v supply - which it receives from the data logger.
