VRS Signal Conditioner and Pulse Divider
A VRS Signal Conditioner can take the unconditioned output from a Variable Reluctance Sensor (VRS), eg: an ABS wheel speed pickup and outputs this as a clean square wave signal (similar to the output from a Hall Effect type sensor), suitable for connection to a DL1, DL2 or DASH2. It can also divide the pulse frequency by a number between 2 and 255. Typically ABS sensors read a wheel with many slots, which gives a high frequency signal. By dividing the number of pulses the signal may be better suited for use with a DL1, DL2, DASH2 or other equipment. The signal conditioning and pulse dividing functions can be used separately or in tandem. The unit will have a conditioned output at 1:1 and another seprate output at a slower rate, divided by any number 2 to 255 as specified. Alternatively, the unit can take a normal square wave input and divide its frequency by 2 to 255. You will need to specify the input as VRS or non-VRS (ie square wave) at time of ordering. When ordering, please add a note to the Special Instructions dialog specifying whether or not VRS signal conditioning is required, and also any division ratio required. These units are assembled to order and will usually ship in approximately 10 days.
