Bullet Camera Mounting Block
There are many options for mounting bullet cameras into a vehicle. We have designed a mounting block that can be mounted in multiple ways, to give as many options as possible. The mounting block is custom made, CNC machined from very tough engineering plastic (black acetal). The cameras are inserted into the block and are secured using a nylon grubscrew, so the outer surface of the cameras will not be marked. There are two sizes available for use with 20mm diameter (standard resolution) or 21mm diameter (high resolution) bullet cameras like the ones we supply.
The small suction mounts we supply are suitable for many PIP camera applications, however to use one of these mounts to get a forward facing camera on the windscreen will require the use of a mounting block. The suction mount screws into a 1/4"-20 UNC (Standard tripod) thread in the block. The mount holds the camera firmly near it's centre, which is an improvement over the bullet camera's standard rear thread, in high vibration applications.

The mounting block features two recessed surfaces that enable secure mounting to vehicle roll cages, either parallel or perpendicular to the tube it is mounted to. It is suitable for mounting to tubes 40mm and larger in diameter (Roll cages typically use 40 and 50mm diameter tubing). There are no straps supplied with the mount, but it is suitable for use with zip ties, jubilee clips, and Velcro straps etc, up to 20mm wide.
Other mounting options are possible. One surface has been tapped with two M4 threaded holes, for mounting to flat surfaces or any custom brackets. In the centre of this surface is also a ¼"-20 UNC threaded hole. Less permanent mounting is also possible using scotch lock tape.
Bullet Camera Mounting Bracket
Many roll cages do not provide tubes that are perpendicular or parallel to the direction of travel. This can make mounting the block directly to tubing unsuitable. To solve this problem we have designed an additional bracket that gives a further degree of rotation. The mounting block can rotate a full 360 degrees on the bracket, and is secured with 2 x M4 bolts. The bracket is laser cut from 2mm thick stainless steel for strength and stability. It is suitable for securing with zip ties, jubilee clips, and Velcro straps etc, up to 20mm wide. There are also slots suitable for securing the bracket with screws (not provided) for more a more permanent solution.
