Re-flashing the DASH4PRO

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RE-FLASH YOUR DASH4PRO UNLESS YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CONFIDENT IN THE REQUIRED PROCEDURE AND HAVE READ THE RE-FLASHING INSTRUCTIONS IN FULL.

Re-flashing is the process of updating the DASH4PRO firmware (the program that is responsible for controlling the operation of the DASH4PRO).

Firmware can be re-flashed to take advantage of any software changes or new features introduced. New firmware upgrades will be introduced from time to time as new features are implemented. Firmware files will be available for download and installation from the Race Technology website.

Please note that it is not routinely necessary to re-flash products from Race Technology. It should only be carried out for one of the following reasons: -

• There has been a new release of the firmware containing new features you wish to make use of.
• When you try to connect the Data Logger to the software you get a message saying that your firmware is out of date.
• There is a problem with the Data Logger and after contacting the factory, you've been asked to re-flash the logger.

Both Configuration and Re-flashing can be done either through a connection to a Race Technology Data Logger or through serial connection to a PC (i.e. using the configuration software).
