ECUType / AdaptronicE420c

Adaptronic e420c

ECU Connections:

1) e420c
2) first build e1280s
3) second build e1280s
4) third build e1280s
5) Select ECU (e420d, 440 or plug-in)

(1) and (2) have a D9 female connector, so this plug straight into the Race Technology serial adaptor - no adaptors / wiring necessary. You use the port that you would normally use to connect to the laptop.

(3) has a 4 -pin Mini-DIN - (the port is labelled "Vidi" on the ECU). Note that you can't use this port and the USB connection at the same time.

(4) and (5) have a stereo 2.5mm connector (mini headphone). Use the "serial out" port (not the "serial in" port). You can buy a premade cable from Innovate Motorsports in the US - the part number is 3746 (Program Cable: LC-1, XD-1, Aux Box to PC) - which is a 2.5mm cable to D9 female cable. This then just plugs into the Race Technology ECU serial interface.

  • Note that you can't use this port and the USB connection at the same time.

ECU configuration:

e420c and Select ECUs (e420d, 440, and the plug-ins) - none required.

For the e1280s, you must be using firmware version 3.039 or later. Then go into "dedicated functions" -> "General" and configure the serial output variables below.

Channel Listing:
