User files Backup

Setup installs several files that contains default configuration for applications in the install package. These configuration settings are changed during the program usage according to the user’s preferences.

When you upgrade or uninstall the Race technology software, these files are backed up to a new folder. The folder name gives you the date and time the backup has taken. The folder name looks like:

Race Technology_Backup_DATE_TIME

Where DATE and TIME represents the date and time the backup has taken.

The location of the backup is different for Windows XP and Windows Vista. In a typical installation of windows it will be as follows.

In Windows XP:

C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data

In Windows Vista:

C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming

C is the drive/partition where Windows is installed and User Name is the Account name where setup had run.

Message like following will be displayed when the user file backup is successful.
