Performance Monitor - Main Interface
The software main window is divided into 5 major groups.
Clicking on the Setup icon will bring up a menu giving the option to load a specific variable file for the test (can be overridden with a script command), turn on/off live data display and the results explorer display, set the display options for the live data display, set up the printer, print test data, or copy data to the clipboard.
This is used to select the COM port to which the SPEEDBOX is connected and set the baud rate of the port.
Perform a new test
The dropdown combo box displays scripts saved in the scripts directory and user can select and edit the script file by pressing the “Edit” button. The user can start the test by pressing the “Start Test” button, or the test conditions for name, location, vehicle, tester and notes can be set using the “Set test info” button.
The summary results text box displays the test results configured by the script using “RecordResults” keyword and other test summary details.
The graph can be configured by the script. By specifying a variable and its Min, Max values in the script the graph can be set to manual scale, or else it is set to auto scale. In graph the X axis denotes time and Y axis will denote values according to the variable defined in the script (speed, break, RPM, etc.). If multiple tests are performed within the same script then the lines will overlay on the display.
By clicking on the test results window a menu will be displayed enabling printing of the data or copying to the clipboard for pasting in to other applications.
Results explorer shows the entire tests conducted by the user. It can be sorted by date, test schedule, vehicle, tester and test location.
User can see the test summary results by selecting the required parent test node. The results graphs will be displayed when user selects a particular test under the parent test node. Further user can Add notes, Export to run file or Delete a test. If the test generates multiple test files all the tests are listed under the parent test node.
The live data section displays the live data with several options (graph, analogue controls etc…) All the live data variables are displayed on grid and user can configure the variables and controls which should be displayed on the graph, labels and analogue controls. These variables can be figured by clicking anywhere in the live data display window and selecting“Display options”, this will prompt a new window.
