UserInterface / LockedLayoutMode

Locked layout mode (available in v8.0.0+)

This option allows the user to lock the layout so no windows can be moved, it also hides all the irrelevant controls and allows more of the screen area to be used for showing data and carrying out analysis. Typically this means that:

  • the users preferred layout can be set up in “normal unlocked mode” whilst at home of in the office, when there is time available
  • when at the track side on a laptop and there is very little time is available then the program is run in “locked mode”

Following images show, how layout changes when you enable the locked layout mode.

Before enabling the locked layout mode:

After enabling the locked layout mode:

Note then when running in locked mode:

  • the boarders of the windows are hidden
  • it’s not possible to add any new windows (so there is no results menu, and the toolbar is simplified)
  • it’s not possible to close or move any windows

However it is still possible to:

  • set options for different windows
  • save/load/select data etc
  • move and resize the program, when resizing the windows will be resized as appropriate
