VIDEO4ConfigurationTool / AutoChapterMarkers

Auto Chapter Markers

The VIDEO4 Configuration tool allows you to include automatic chapter marking conditions into the overlay file. When a condition evaluates to true, VIDEO4 system adds a new chapter to the video being recorded (along with the chapter type information)

Note: The units used here are as set in the variable screen of the software, for example is speed is set to be in MPH in the variable list then you must enter the speeds in MPH to this screen.

Adding Auto Chapter markers

Click File -> Auto Chapter Markers to open the Auto chapter markers dialog.

There are 10 chapter types. For each type there is a separate row in the Condition builder grid. Condition builder allows you to create conditional statements for chapter types.

A conditional statement consists of following parts.

Value 1 + Sign 1(<, <=) + Variable + Sign 2 (<, <=) + Value 2

For an example, statement 100 < speed <= 150 means speed is greater than 100 Kph and less than or equals to 150 Kph.

To add a condition to a chapter type:-

1. Select a variable.

2. Enter Value 1 and select Sign 1.

3. Enter Value 2 and select Sign 2.

4. Select the Checkbox to the left of the Chapter Type column.

5. Press ‘OK’ to save the statement.

Note: Conditional statement for a chapter type enabled only if you select the checkbox to the left of the chapter type column.

You can configure the device to mark a chapter at the start of each lap by checking the checkbox titled “Mark chapter when start of new lap”. You also have the option of selecting the chapter type to be used.

To delete a statement:-

1. Select the checkbox to the left side of the chapter type row which contains the statement to be deleted.
2. Click ‘Delete’ button.
