Video 4 not recording RUN/GPS data (or is it ?)
We are still having problems with our VIDEO4/DASH4PRO setup. The unit appears to be recording RUN data (file size does 'grow'), but nothing appears in the Analysis software. The video works fine though. We have reflashed the firmware on the VIDEO4 unit and the DASH4PRO has been back to RT for other ...

Dash 4 pro not 'remembering' settings
We have a Dash 4 pro connected to a video 4 unit but the dash will not 'learn' the button settings! We have reflashed both firmwares but when we set the buttons on the dash unit it works whilst we keep power to the unit but when the ignition is switched off the unit losses the settings and they cons...

The config file doesn't actually give you any sensor readings though, it just lets easymap know that the voltage is coming from a certain sensor. If you look at the easymap software there should be a sensor set up section somewhere. (Probably Data>get data>engine sensor configaration?) This should t...

I havent got an ECU interface so I am struggling to answer your questions but I can only assume that the interface will supply voltages to the DL/1 or Dash 2 (This saves you 'taping' into the sensors or installing seperate sensors). You would then need to put formulae into a callibration file so the...

angle at steering wheel / steering ratio
Is this what you found?
Problem being is the ackerman angle gives different angles at the wheels - this is what I'm trying to calculate at the moment - it's going well and I'll update when we've finished testing.

We have found that the required steering angle is very accurately when you drive the car well within the vehicle limits - this is done on the grid formation lap prior to a race or a period behind the safety car. We have the sensor for sterring input in volts and when you adjust the scale it overlaps...

Measuring the angle of front wheels.
I have fitted a steering angle sensor and I am wondering how to calculate the angle of the steered wheels. I have got a user defined variable which, using a formula of corner radius and g gives me the required steering angle and I want to compare this against actual steered angle to give me a handli...
