A couple of things: This feature IS slated for major rework/improvement in the next major software release. The current version uses the user's PC's native codecs, and there has been a high incidence of the sort of issues pedroosan has mentioned. In terms of dates, I'd estimate "a few months&q...

Dennis: I did but just had a chance to look at it. Was the car stationary and reasonably level during the test? And you say the DL1 looks level to the eye? If yes to both, you need at least an accelerometer recalibration, but may also have a hardware fault as there is a lot of "drift" dur...

t;]It does sound as if the calibration of the lateral accelerometer channel is off. If you'd like you can email me the minute of data taken with the vehicle stationary and level and I'll have a look at it for you. aseim@race-technology.com Or else connect your PC to the DL1 serial port and read the...

If it is level than that's an RT problem and I'm sure they would fix it for you. One way you can check the unit is with either the monitor program (or with the unit logging) and just turn it 90 deg to the ground by hand and it should go to 1g. If you need them, those accel offsets are on the same o...

Thanks guys. I had presumed that my DL1 was installed "forward" with the slot and red button facing the front of the car. I have selected the "reverse " option and the range is a more believable +1.6 to -0.6. However , my mate's range was +1.2 to - 1.2 - does that seem reasonable...

Lateral Acceleration Query

A mate and I were at a track day recently and I am comparing his data to mine. When I look at the Lateral acceleration data, mine is displayed inverse to his. Also , his reading seem correct and show a range between +1.2g's to -1.2g's. My range for a similar lap time is from zero to -1.9g's? Any sug...

Wheel Speed Sensor -ABS

I would like to know if anyone has connected the DL1 to their ABS computer to pick up their wheel speeds?

I have a 2001 Boxster and it would seem to be a lot easier and more economical to use the ABS computer vs installing another 4 wheel sensors?

Cheers

How is the DL1 connected to the vehicle, in terms of RPM input? Well I picked up the car last night and the auto electrican told me he didn't connect the RPM sender to the correct point. He has assured me its working now ( I haven't tested it yet but he reckons he has.) Thanks again for the reply. ...

How is the DL1 connected to the vehicle, in terms of RPM input? I'm not sure - the car is back with the auto electrician who installed it today so I will ask him and let you know. Definiately somthing funny though as I have tried all recommended Vehicle settings and can't get a sensible output. Tha...
