I send the RPM to both the DL1 and the Dash2. Just a simple Y wire. Works fine I could do that, but I specifically want to log ECU derived RPM data. It might be that the DL1 is seeing to values for RPM and the analysis software RPM filtering is averaging them out making it look like a sensible RPM ...

RPM with Dash2, DL-1 and ECU interface
I have a Dash2, a DL-1 and a Emerald K3 ECU interface fitted to my car. They have been installed and working ok for some time. The Dash2 has an analogue RPM input fed into it and up until now I have always had this as the selected RPM input for the Dash2. With a pulses per rev of '2' set in the dash...

GPS antenna foil
I've just changed over the roll cage on my car for a newone and on removing the GPS antenna from the top of the old roll cage I have accidently damaged and pulled off the sticker on the base of the GPS antenna. I notice that this sticker is metallic foil and I'm guessing it forms a ground plane for ...

Exporting timing data?
When exporting data as a .csv is there a way of including timing information?
ie. If you have set track markers, start/stop points etc on the map display, is there a way of including this lap timing info within the rest of the exported data??

Yes, I double cheked with a multimeter. I think I understand the problem now. Due to the rate of change being set by default to 10, I don't think the analysis software was allowing me to see a near instant 0v - 13v shift as supplied by the switch turning on/off. Why is the default max rate of chnage...

I've just changed the 'maximum rate of change' in the variables manager from 10 to 1000 and the rate of change is now much better (now approx 0.05 secs). What does the function do exactly? rate of change per second, per sample, per what? Is this the reason I couldn't get any reading at all when I tr...

Brake pedal switch problems - please help
I've just installed a new DL-1 today (rpm from tacho, throttle pot and Brake light switch) in a Caterham Seven and it all seems to be working just fine... except one point which is really confusing me. I tried taking the switched side of the brake pedal light switch to a DL-1 analogue input (0v norm...
