Horsepower Calculation Q's

Hi - I'm trying to determine/confirm that I have an engine air intake issue at higher speeds (>100mph) by using the HP tool in analysis. When I ask it to perform the power calc, the number (380hp) matches my dyno number. I also get this same number when accelerating out of turns. But, when I check H...

Re: DASH2Pro Signal Manipulation

"high rpm" is if you are pulling the signal from the spark plug wires, "low rpm" is for a signal from the computer.

Re: DASH2Pro Signal Manipulation

The OEM signal works fine on a friend's D2Pro that I installed. I can send you the settings if you message me your info. The water temp signal, as you've discovered, is quite curious. You can add a dedicated temp sensor to the rear of the passenger side head to get full range readings and avoid that...

I have no experience (or affiliation) with this - but it is something to consider: http://www.izzeracing.com/products/stra ... ifier.html

Re: Syvecs S6GP Data

Ok, you can just pay for as many 15 channel CAN licenses that you need (that will take care of the DL1 hardware side). On the DL1 software side, you will need to set it up to receive the CAN data and then map the incoming CAN data to a DL1 channel. I've attached a screenshot that will get you going....

Re: Syvecs S6GP Data

Re: Syvecs S6GP Data

A current DL1 that has a CAN bus input is able to receive any and all info sent by the S6 via CAN, correct (assuming enough of the 15 CAN channel licenses are purchased)? The 15 channel limitation is only with the CAN to serial interface, right?

I am interested as well, I have had the same issue with simulation times being unreasonably quick.

Re: Displaying Gear from ECU

Try to send the gear channel info to one of the "aux" variables (ignore the R-T label for that channel).

Re: Displaying Gear from ECU

are you sending a CAN stream or serial stream to the Dash 4? If CAN, then yes, no issues. If serial, you will need to feed a DL1 with the info, buy a CAN license (which I assume you have, if you are getting other channels from the ECU), and then setup gear channel in the CAN config and in the variab...

DL1 PWM Output/PWM fuel controller equation

Hello - I have a car with two fuel tanks (a left and a right) that will be running ethanol and gas in varying amounts and also various states of de-tune (depending on the power to weight class entered for a given event). I have one fuel pump in each tank that pumps to a surge tank, and then connecte...

Dash4/Video4 Y Cable Question

Hello - I would appreciate if someone could confirm the internal wiring on the Y cable (YCAB001) -- on the DB9 connector that connects to the DL1, does each branch of the cable simply share pins 2 (Rx1), 3 (Tx1) and 5 (GND), with pin 7 (12v) only going to the Dash4 branch? Or is there a passthrough ...
