Engine Management failure warning light

You know, the one many cars and motorcycles have with an icon that looks like the outline of an engine and it glows and/or flashes when there's some sort of failure in the engine management system. And possibly is also used to flash a code sequence that identifies the problem. How best to bring that...

Re: Driver and Mode values

Aha, so there are NO global settings. But when editing, the settings can be applied globally, or to a specified combination. OK, that makes sense. Thanks.

Re: Low fuel level sensor (reserve)

Returning to this in the hope others may join in and comment. The bike originally applies power (I assume 12v) to an LED tell-tale in the dash that is grounded (or not) through the sensor (thermistor in the tank) which when cold is about 1kOhms, but as the fuel level drops and it becomes exposed, he...

Re: Dash2Pro screens

Re-reading this, I cannot see why I said 27 screens. If each of the 9 configs have 5 screens, that's a total of 45 screens, or am I now missing something?

Re: Driver and Mode values

Bump.

I'd really appreciate it if support could take a look at this and provide such a list. It would make config much simpler to know what's global and what is not.

This is what I plan on doing. Set up the sensor as normal for the D2P with suitable resistor etc. Then set an output to PWM mode for 0% when fuel is over the sensor and 100% when fuel is low. Then use a transistor to control the power to the Low Fuel light input (normally Fog) so it will be off norm...

I have since had the tank off and measured the fuel level sender's resistance when empty and full (actually, tank upside down ) and indeed the manual has incorrectly used kΩ when it should have been Ω. That is the actual official Honda workshop manual. Unlike Honda to make such a gaff. I'l...

Since I want to control this output according to the Ambient Air Temperature, which is being calculated as °C from one of the input voltages (from a table), can I set the PWM % values to be in the calculated °C rather than the raw voltages? Easier to fine tune if it's by ° than having to relate b...

I've been thinking along the same lines, but as I only need to actually switch 2A, I could just use a single transistor as the switch. I'm trying to power 2 heaters which take 2A each so a pair of 2A transistors would handle that and provide the 4A total I need. I need to carefully select a suitable...

D2P PWM output amplification

I want to use the PWM output to control some heaters. So I could configure their power/heat level in the D2P. This would work perfectly, but of course the D2P can only sink up to 0.5A and I need it to be switching up to 4A. So I need to replicate what the D2P output is doing, but actually controllin...

Driver and Mode values

There are many things to be set when configuring a D2P, but which parameters are 'global' and which exist for each Driver/Mode configuration? This is obviously quite crucial information when trying to create the optimum configuration of the entire unit, but so far I have completely failed to find AN...

Been thinking about this and rodgling's equation will be most helpful, but timezone and DST are a problem. You could use another variable to contain the offset and then add that into the equation, so you just need to adjust the value of the offset variable to correct the time to what you want, but.....

Apparently I can, but how does one define a new variable? I can see how to modify an existing one, but not how to create a new one.

Grasping at straws I downloaded the 8.5 software set AGAIN. This is apparently 8.502xx or something like that, whereas I already had 8.501xx. So not a huge difference one would have thought, but I decided to install it and see. First I have to uninstall the current one. Have RT really not figured ou...
