Postby C » Mon Dec 05, 2005 8:13 am

I tried to connect the RPM signal directly from the ECU to the 5V input...
Nothing happens. I drive a 2004 EVO 8

Please help
Thanks

I don't have the evo pinouts right in front of me, my guess is you may have the wrong wire on the ECU (because I've done one and it does register) or you have the 5V pickup on the wrong port of the DL1.

Here, http://www.norcalevo.net/forums/viewtop ... a4cce67ce5

read that thread, but it looks like the wire you want is pin 88 Blue purple wire

Sorry I can't help much more. Have you checked to see if any voltage is registered on the pickup when the RPM changes @ the logger side of the wire? If the Apexi and DL1 are both on the same wire, maybe you are losing enough voltage so that it doesn't register on the logger.

Do I need anything else (adaptors etc) ?
Thanks
C?

If there is a 5v RPM signal then you should be able to connect this directly without any problem. If this doesn't seem to work, please send me a .run file to support@... and I will see if there is any data in there at all.
