firmware updates

Currently we do not put firmware on the web site... the reason is simple, it is possible during the reflashing to corrupt the unit. This can happen if the wrong firmware is used for example.
While we could put the firmware on the site with warnings and disclaimers, it is difficult (actually almost impossible) to tell a valuable customer that they will have to pay for us to put it right, and so historically we've ended up doing it for free and so just causing ourselves work for often no reason.
Reflashing the hardware shouldn't be routinely required - it is only required if a problem has been identified with the unit, or it needs to be upgraded to work with some new hardware.
For example, early DL1s needed to be upgraded to work with DASH2 and/or ECu interfaces.
If after all that (!) you do require updated firmware - please email:

Please include a decription of your hardware. Kieran will normally respond the same or next working day.
