DL1 Mk3/Video 4/Dash4 - Command Failure Timeout

Postby Bikey » Thu Aug 07, 2014 1:09 am

Hello. I am trying to get my Mk3, Dash 4 and Video 4 to work together. I can get the Mk3 and Dash 4 to work, but after adding the Video 4, I get a "Command Failure Timeout" error message on the Dash 4. I am not sure what the issue is. The Video 4 has the default data settings for a connection to a display and the DL1 MK3 has the default settings for connection to a Video 4 and a Dash. The MK3 is relying its internal sensor for logging status, in the "Variable Mapping" controls.
Here is the status file from the Video 4, is the "VIDEO4 triggering NOT available" item indicative of the problem?
The Video 4 otherwise works and records video to the CF card (same card used when the failure message appears).

Thanks

Morning,

So to clarify the issue is that if you have a DL1->DASH4PRO you can start stop the DL1 logging from the DASH4PRO, but if you add in the VIDEO4 unit, then you can't control this logging from the DASH4PRO?

Is that correct?

Correct.
I can log on the Vid4 when it is used in isolation.

Thanks!

you need a small update for the DL1 firmware (v4.4.12+), this is now available from the downloads section of our web site, sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks,
