Postby dawinschie » Wed May 18, 2016 8:48 am

Hello race-tecs,

Trying to connect a DL1 Club to CONFIG via USB leads to an error.

Hi there,

Provided that the correct port is being selected to send and read configuration, this should work pefectly fine.

If this is an ongoing issue, there could be a hardware fault that will need to be rectified.

Ensure that the unit is running the latest version of software and firmware, this of which can be downloaded from the below link;

Hey guys,

I did not want to start a new topic as my problem is closed to this one. DL1MK3 powers up and the LEDs Show "Power on" and "GPS lock". Status is flashing its normal "I am fine" but does not change when the SD card is removed. I does not start logging or at least the LED does not indicate. I tried to connect the PC but my approach is answered by error messages from the software unable to find the device.

What can I do to reset the DL1?

Thanks for your support.

Cheers, Jan

Hi Jan,

If the unit is powered up with the SD card removed from the unit, does the status LED still flash a sequence?

hi Jan,

Sounds like the logger is reacting how I would expect.

Have you recently updated your Race Technology software? In some cases, incompatibility with certain versions of firmware and software can cause this issue.

Please ensure that you are running configuration software version 6.0.89, this is available in the below downloadable RT package;

http://www.race-technology.com/upload/p ... uncher.exe

Once downloaded and installed, open the software and go to File > Reflash DL1 firmware.

Ensure the DL1 is connected to the computer via USB and powered and click the Reflash button.

With this the reflashing process should start. Once complete you should then be able to send and read configuration from the DL1 using the software.

Hopefully this will solve your issue, but if after this you still have a problem, please contact me directly sam@race-technology.com.

Kind Regards,

Thank you Sam!

I am back in the driving seat and the DL1 connected perfectly. I guess the main reason was my laptop used to have problems with update settings. It looks as if the chinese laptop usb connection was the issue and not the british DL1. :lol:

Thank you once again!
