Analysis v8.5.369

Postby sunsetmoto » Sat Jan 09, 2016 2:42 pm

I have just installed the latest version of the software and was wondering where the bottom toolbar has gone that enables you to quickly navigate between the windows? Is there anyway this can be enabled or are we stuck with using the top 'window' tab for navigation? If this is the case I will be returning to an earlier version of analysis.

Thanks

Sean

Hi Sean

We removed the tab interface as part of some general modernisation of analysis, it looked really bad on modern OS'. On the version on the web, you can only swap tabs (now layers) from the menu, and there is no way to set a name as you have seen.

We actually hadn't appreciated how widely used they were, and following customer feedback we have made the following changes in the new (as yet unreleased) version;
a. The layers are still only on the menus
b. to make it faster to operate the new interface we've added "hot keys" to flip between layers
c. you can now rename the tabs
d. the name of the tab you are on is show at the top of the program in the move bar

The new version will be available in the coming 1-2 weeks.

Kind regards,
Adele

Are there any news about the new version? Is it already available?

I have downloaded v8.5.403 and the bottom tabs are still missing - is there any update on this?
