Water temp sensor

Postby s2klotus7 » Sun Oct 28, 2012 10:26 pm

Any idea why my water temp stays at 312 and it will not move?

I'm using dash2, supplied RT bosch sensor & using the Dash2 drop down
formula (in degree fahrenheit).

The black in ground - the red at 5V grey - white at the dash2 input analog.
Do you think the 1K resistor died? It's working before.

Working the equation out backwards 312 gives -0.3v. The ADC inside the unit cannot output negative volts.

Please can you configure the DASH to display voltage or connect the lite monitor and tell me what is the voltage display for that channel?

Kind regards,
Kieran

Thank you for the support.

I found it. The wire at the inline resistor of the RT bosch water temp sensor broke. The resistor is hidden inside the plug. I had to pry the plug to see the resistor. I re-soldered and it works.

Thanks
