I am installing a Dash 2 and DL 1 and have been progresively adding more sensors to the dash. I have had the RPM signal coming through fine however today when I started the car it has no RPM display.
Running a fresh wire from the coil neg to the Dash 2 did not change a thing. Unplugging all the sensors didn't help either. I changed some of the RPM settings at of desperation but got nothing.
Any ideas?
My next plan was to feed the RPM into the logger, and try to get the dash to read it from there. I have one week to get the car ready so I am keen to fix
Thanks
Jason
RPM display dissappeared from Dash 2
"coil neg"
You mean an injector signal or a coil pack signal from an ECU?
If you hooked it up to the spark plug coil on a dizzy motor you did a no-no.
The Dash2 can only take a 12VDC square wave for RPM, the DL1 has a high voltage input though.
Best best is the RPM out from the ECU since injector or coil on plug signals can get flaky around rev cut.
