InstallationAndConnections / Mounting

The mounting location and orientation of the BRAKEBOX is not important as the unit contains no motion sensors. However, for safety reasons it is essential that the unit is securely fastened in the car prior to any test work. There are several methods that can be used to secure the brake box; the base plate has four 4mm holes which are suitable for taking M4 bolts, alternatively industrial "lock", "scotch", or "loop and hook" tape can be used on the base of the unit. It should be ensured that the BRAKEBOX is not subject to excessive vibration, since this may reduce the accuracy of the GPS unit.
