The DL1 Mk1 pulls to ground which is what is needed to trigger the gopro but it stays at ground.

What you need it a short pulse about 1 second to switch it on and about 2 seconds pulse to switch it off.

This is why it is not possible with the DL1 mk1.

So to clarify the issue is that if you have a DL1->DASH4PRO you can start stop the DL1 logging from the DASH4PRO, but if you add in the VIDEO4 unit, then you can't control this logging from the DASH4PRO?

Is that correct?

its worth testing with our standard bosch calibrations built into the software/firmware... these are very commonly used for OEM sensors.

Yes there has been a recent change to the firmware. There was a change to the MS2 firmware which stopped it working. Email me directly, mhill at race-technology dot com and I'll send it to you.

Ah - shame. Its true the new software requires a video license that was bought in the last 3-4 years from memory. Unfortunately licenses are locked to the DL1 hardware and so not transferable.

The internal resolution on the stored data is 1mV, we get somewhere close to this on the resolution, but not obviously on the accuracy.

We don't see much demand for signals with a negative voltage input on vehicle data loggers, which is why we don't offer it on our standard data loggers. The resolution is actually higher than what you suggest because the input values are oversampled and averaged.
