Inertial Sensor Options:
Standard SPEEDBOX or SPEEDBOX MINI Spec +INS Single Antenna +INS Compact Dual Antenna
Standard specification uses a 3-axis accelerometer and GPS to calculate speed. Suitable for general straight-line speed measurement testing and pedal triggered brake tests. The INS Single Antenna uses a tactical grade IMU and GPS to calculate speed and vehicle attitude. This is the reference system for all automotive brake testing as well as chassis development. The INS Compact Dual Antenna adds a 2nd antenna to the INS system. All headline features and accuracies are the same as the INS Single Antenna, but a 2nd antenna allows the system to fully converge on a stationary vehicle.

Ideal for off-highway, military, mining trucks, or slow speed vehicles with low dynamics.

The SPEEDBOX INS has a distance accuracy of 2-3cm for all automotive braking tests, but the absolute positional accuracy is limited by standard GPS to about 1-2m.

The Addition of the RT CONNECT to a SPEEDBOX system adds multi-constellation differential GPS technology for an absolute positional accuracy of 2-3cm. Speed and distance accuracy is unaffected, perfect for ADAS validation tests.
