Motorsport Electronics ME221 and ME442

Note – This interface is only available using the built in Serial interfaces on the DASH2 PRO, DL1 Club, PRO and WP. It cannot be used with our ECU serial adaptor.


Connections

DASH2 PRO - Connection is to be made through the DB9 tuning port of the ECU, using the Race Technology supplied male to male gender changer, to RS232 [1] of the DASH2 PRO wiring harness

DL1 Club - Connection is to be made through a serial extension lead from the tuning port of the ECU to RS232 [2] of the Race Technology supplied DL1 breakout cable

DL1 PRO/WP - Connection is to be made through a serial extension lead from the tuning port of the ECU to RS232 [2] on the DL1 PRO/WP wiring harness.

Configuration


ECU (ME221)

  • No ECU Configuration required
Note – The ECU must be running firmware version 2.0-RC17 or later.


Race Technology

  • Open the Race Technology DASH2 PRO or DL1 Club/Pro/WP configuration software
  • Select the ECU interface sub-menu.


  • Using the drop down list at the top of the window, scroll and select the ME221 option.


  • Ensure that the correct serial port is selected for the application,
DASH2 PRO - Serial Port 1
DL1 Club/PRO/WP - Serial Port 2


  • Use the check boxes at the right of the screen to enable the desired channels. Press Ok to confirm the selection.


  • In the main menu of the configuration software, click the “Send Configuration” icon to upload the configuration to the DL1 or DASH2 PRO.
