AnalysisHowDoI / CalculateLapTimes

How do I calculate lap times?

Step 1: Until a lap marker is added, no lap times may be extrapolated from the data. Go to the "Add a track marker" icon at the top of the track map window.

Step 2: This allows you to place a marker across the track in the position that you require for your lap start/end point. Drag the marker across the chosen place on the map, ensuring that the arrow is pointing in the direction of travel.

Step 3: A window will appear on the screen. It will ask you to name the track marker. As this is the first marker set down on the track, the program will assume that you wish to use it as a lap marker. Press "OK".

Step 4: Another window will ask you if you automatically want to add sector markers Press "No".

Step 5: The marker will go red when it has been successfully put in place.

Step 6: Now that a lap marker is in place, lap timings may be generated. To do this, enter the "Results" menu at the top of the screen and select "Lap/Sector Times"

Step 7: This will bring up a table showing the Lap times for the run that you are analysing.

N.B. Lap times are calculated from the first time that the Lap Marker is crossed. Any data that falls outside of a complete lap will not be displayed.
