Configuring the RPM
RPM direct input: Click on RPM inputs highlighted above in pink and select high level or low level and entre the number of pulses per revolution
High
| Designed to connect directly to negative terminal of ignition coil.
Can also fire from fuel injectors and from CD ignition systems.

Low
| Triggering voltage requires a low input of <1v and a high input of >4v and 15v maximum.
Suitable for connection directly to most ECU tacho outputs.
Maximum input frequency >300Hz.

RPM CAN BUS: Click on CAN data input in the DL1 configuration software and select RPM as one of the input channels in the “map channel to” column then click the configure box and entre the protocol details for that channel.
R51 OBD: Ensure RPM is deselected from CAN data input if previously used and deselect the direct RPM inputs. Data will come via serial port from OBD interface. Check in the variable mapping the RPM data is set to come from serial ports.
Once finished send configuration to the DL1.
