IMPORTANT: please note that Emerald uses non standard pins for CAN on their D type. Emerald uses pins 1 and 2, whilst our CAN adapter uses the standard pins 2 and 7. To connector our CAN adapter to the Emerald ECU the options are:

  • Open out d type connector and change the pins on our d-type
  • Do no use our d type to plug directly to the ECU, but instead use the also supplied d type to fly-leads adapter
  • Use an adapter to swap from the emerald pins to the standard locations

This generic protocol can be enabled on Emerald K3 ECU’s that have a firmware version v1.05 or higher.
