PC connection for reflash or configuration
The CAN interface requires a special lead (supplied) for connection to a PC to be reprogrammed. This lead has four connectors on it as shown below
Datalogger
PC
RS232 OUTPUT
RS232 INPUT
The CAN interface must be connected to the two RS232 ports, it is not possible to get these the wrong way around as they have different connectors on them. The PC connector connects to a PC serial port, the Datalogger connector is to get power to the CAN interface. When using only with a DASH2 the power adaptor cable (supplied) is used to provide power to the CAN interface so the Datalogger connector does not need to be connected
