Simple text

Simple text control can be used display one of the following:

• A static text string
• Formatted date/time value

Simple text properties

General Section

• Left and Top : These are the coordinates of the left and right borders of the control
• Text type : Allows you to select whether you want to display a text string or a formatted date/time value using this control
• Text : You can enter a text string if you select the "simple text" value from the "Text type" drop down. If you select one of the date/time formats, the control will display data/time values when the overlay is used with Video export or Virtual dash board.
• Font : Allows you to change the font size
• Bold : Select this option if you need to show the text in bold face
• Alignment : This allows you to align the text as follows:
  • Left – The text is aligned to the left.
  • Right – The text is aligned to the right.
• Alpha: This specifies the transparency of the font. Values may range form 255 (opaque) to 0 (invisible)

Text section:

• Colour : This allows you to select the font colour

Background section:

• Transparent : This option allows you to make the control background transparent.
• Colour : Allows you to specify a background colour for the control.
