Part 2:

Customising overlays (How to let users personalise your designs)

Customisation applications (see diagram 1.0) are used to quickly customise the overlay files in the default overlay directory.

Note that the customisation applications doesn’t have direct access to the control properties of overlays; it is your responsibility to decide which parts of an overlay should be accessible/visible to the customisation tools.

Following sections describe how to make selected parts of the overlay accessible\visible to customisation tools by using the “groups” and “Property definitions”.
