Assign controls to groups

When you add a control to the design area it automatically get assigned to the “default” group. To assign it to another group, change the value of its group property using property dialog or property viewer.

Assign a control to another group by using the property dialog:

1. Right click within the control to open its properties dialog

2. Select a group using the Group drop down

3. Press OK to update the control’s group property.

Assign a control to another group by using the property viewer

Note: When you update a control through the property viewer dialog, changes will be immediately get applied to the control.

1. From the Advanced overlay editor file menu, select View -> Property Viewer

2. Select the control, that you want to change the group. The property viewer displays the properties of the selected control.

3. Assign the control to another group using drop down list.
