Suitable CF Cards

Even though most of the newer cards are working fine with the VIDEO4, it is still required to test them for speed if the disk is not in the list supported CF cards.

Insert the disk to VIDOE4 and do a long recording with 12 Mbps. After few minutes (about 5 to 30), if the POWER_LED is not flashing to indicate the disk is too slow to record, the disk is fully compliant with the VIDEO4 unit.

If POWER_LED starts blinking to indicate the disk is too slow to record, reset the VIDEO4, try reducing the bit-rate and re-try recording until the POWER_LED is stable even after essential minutes of recording.

If the unit is reporting slow even for the lowest bit-rate, then that type of disk is unsupported by the VIDEO4.

If you are buying CF cards for the VIDEO4 then we recommend that you either buy the card from Race Technology directly, or you use the high speed cards from SanDisk (at the time of writing these include Ultra II, III and IV).
