OverlayManager / DigitalDisplayPropertiesForm

Digital display properties form

The form contains the following;

  • Input – the index/number that corresponds to the input variable (read only). At run time (when video is generated) the current value of the input variable will be displayed as a digital number inside this control. This property can be changed by dragging and dropping the appropriate variable from the variables pane into the body of the control in the design area. The default value for this is ‘0’ indicating that no input variable has been set.
  • Default value (textbox) – This is a default value assigned to the input variable
  • Lower limit (textbox) – This is the lower limit of the input variable
  • Upper limit (textbox) – This is the upper limit of the input variable. It should be noted that, if a simple text object is assigned an input variable, the digital display will only shown in the video during time periods where the current value of the input variable is between the upper and lower limits.
  • Decimal places – This is the number of digits to appear after the decimal symbol
  • Decimal mark – This is the decimal symbol to be used. The options are;
Dot (.)
Comma (,)
  • CentreX (textbox) – This centres the X coordinates
  • CentreY (textbox) – This centres the Y coordinates
  • Alfa factor (textbox) – This specifies the transparency of the text in the final video. Values may range form 255 (opaque) to 0 (invisible)
  • Text (text area) – This is a sample of the text to be displayed (read only). The default value is used to generate the sample.
  • Font (command button) – This allows you to select the font
  • Fore Colour - This allows you to select the font colour
  • Alignment (combo box) – This allows you to control the alignment of the text in the following manners:
Left – the text is aligned to the left
